Release Day: Extend Views with Bulk Operations and Entity Attachments

This week we keep rolling out handy modules that everyone should know about, with a look at two very popular modules for extending the Views module. The first, Entity Views Attachment (EVA), lets you attach any of your views to various entities on your site, like nodes or users. This is handy when you want to display a view as part of another entity on your site, instead of displaying it on its own URL. The Views Bulk Operations (VBO) module makes creating administrative views much more powerful, by letting you add select checkboxes to the items in the view and then do an action, like delete or publish, on all of the items selected. We'll take a look at how to create some views using these great tools, and we're sure you'll see why they are in most Drupal site building toolkits.

In the coming weeks you can expect to see some new Panels videos by Jen Lampton, to pick up on the Building Websites in Drupal 7 Using Panels series, and we'll be rolling out a new series on using Git. If you have suggestions for us to work on, remember to check out our Suggestion Box to suggest a topic and vote on ones others have already noted.
