Drupalize.Me is celebrating 5 years this week, so naturally we're also reflecting on the past, present, and future of our business.
The original Drupalize.Me site launched at the end of November 2010 with 118 hours of video from the Lullabot Learning Series and Do It With Drupal events. Over the next 5 years, we grew substantially—we tripled the amount of video on our site, and we added new employees.
Today the Drupalize.Me team consists of 8 full-time employees and 3 contractors. We now operate independently from Lullabot, our parent company. So it's time to officially leave the nest. On January 1, 2016 Lullabot Education—a new sister company—will start to manage Drupalize.Me and any future education-related endeavors. Nothing much will change for our members, but internally we'll be more streamlined and focused.
We've come a long way in 5 years! But it still feels like we're just getting started. Our pipeline is overflowing. Last week we introduced improved tutorials, published a Decoupled Drupal series, and shifted our focus to Drupal 8.
Five years is a big milestone; thank you for helping us get here! Please join us as we continue on our own toward the future.
