It’s that time again! Here’s an overview of our recent accomplishments and important updates.
Drupal 8
Of course, this deserves its own section! Drupal 8.0.0 was released on November 19.
We started producing tutorials when the first release candidate (RC1) went live. At the time, I wrote:
Here at Drupalize.Me, RC1 is important because it marks the start of our Drupal 8 production cycle. Our entire team of trainers is now working on new Drupal 8 tutorials, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
This continues to be true, and we’re working hard now to finish our first full series — look for it to land in the next few weeks! In the meantime, we already have tons of great Drupal 8 content available here: Learn Drupal 8 with Resources from Drupalize.Me
New tutorials
We published 3 new series! If you haven’t watched them yet, definitely add them to your queue. Here they are:
- Inheritance in Object-Oriented PHP, a series about inheritance in PHP and how it works in classes, abstractions, and interfaces.
- Markup in Drupal, a series about customizing markup in Drupal using Zen, a base theme, and contributed modules like Fences, Views, Panels, and Display Suite.
- Decoupled Drupal, a series about decoupling considerations/techniques, and RESTful APIs.
New site features
We developed and published role-based pathways that make learning Drupal easier. Do you want to build Drupal sites? Do you want to work with Drupal themes or become a Drupal developer? If yes, then these pathways are for you. Here they are:
Last but not least, we launched our new and improved tutorials! Now tutorials on our site may consist of 1 or more embedded videos, in-line code samples, step-by-step instructions, images, and/or written explanations. This huge update will really improve our site—we hope you’re excited.
