Drupalize.Me Podcast Episode 33

This week we have podcast episode 33. It's all about Global Sprint Days, coming up next weekend, on January 25-26, 2014. We talk about what sprints are, what's happening next weekend, and the why/how of getting involved. Go give it a listen, and then sign up for (or create) a local event!

Drupal Dev Days and the Race to Code Freeze

During the week June 24th a mass of Drupal folks will converge on Dublin, Ireland for Drupal Dev Days. This year, in addition to the three days of DrupalCamp that is happening (June 28-30), there is also a week of sprints leading up to the camp, and to the Drupal 8 code freeze deadline. This is it. If it's going to be in Drupal 8, it needs to happen before the end of June.

Drupalcon Munich and Community Love

The Drupalize.Me team is excited to be going to Germany in just two weeks, for DrupalCon Munich. DrupalCon is always an amazing event with thousands of Drupalers sharing ideas, having fun, and helping to make Drupal even better, both as software and as a community. For our part, we will be involved in several sessions, as well as doing everything we can to make the sprint day successful by providing free training on community tools. What is a "sprint day" you ask? Well let me explain what's going on and why we're so excited.

Cool New Features for Series

Our latest feature release is brought to you by the pony Applejack, and it has some great new things that you all have been asking for, as well as fixing a few annoying bugs. The big news is that now you can add a series to your queue, instead of having to add each individual video in your queue and then try to keep them in the right order. As part of implementing that, we also added a few other nice touches too.

Site Improvements with Our Latest Sprint: Sparkleworks

In our latest sprint -- Sparkleworks -- we sprinkled some magic pony dust (and also wrote a little code) to make more improvements to the Drupalize.Me site. The two main improvements we made for this release have been popular member requests; we've added a listing of your entire video history, and we've added newest and most popular video lists. Today we also have a new video for our Wednesday release day, Tips for writing secure code.

Site Improvements with Daisyjo

Another Drupalize.Me release, another pony. Our Daisyjo release touched lots of little bits and pieces of the site. We implemented a number of changes that many of you have been asking for, as well as adding some things that would let you get to know us a little better.

Double Pony: What Does It Mean?

As some of you may know, we here at Drupalize.Me name our code sprints after My Little Pony™ characters. There has been a lot going on the last few months and we didn't get a chance to update you on the work we've done in our last two sprints: Ripple and Tink-a-Tink-a-Too.
