Release Day: Installing and Updating Drupal

This week we have our third series in the Using Drupal guide, Using Drupal Appendix A: Installing and Updating Drupal. We're skipping ahead to this particular appendix before diving into the case studies to make sure you're ready to go with the basics of getting a Drupal site installed and ready to go. Between this series, and the earlier lesson on Installing the Using Drupal Source Code, you'll be all set to work on the case studies we'll be covering over the coming months. In addition to showing you how to install Drupal, we'll also discuss updating your site. Once you work through the lessons using our source code, you'll want to update your site to the latest versions of core and contributed modules.

Join us next week as we dig in to our first case study, building a basic site for Mom and Pop, Inc., where we'll work with the main pieces of Drupal and get a firm foundation in the administrative interface.
