Release Day: Kicking Off Twig and Wrapping Up Using Drupal

This week we have a ton of new tutorials for you to enjoy. We're very happy to bring back our friends from KnpUniversity to provide a great little series on the Twig templating system, and we're also wrapping up the entire O'Reilly Using Drupal book guide with the final tutorials.

Twig is a very nice PHP-based templating system, which was developed by the same fine folks that created Symfony. Twig is one of the new external components that will be included in Drupal 8 core, and will be the new theming system, replacing the old Drupal PHPtemplate system. Drupal 8 isn't out yet, but you can start playing around with Twig now to learn the syntax and get familiar with it. This week we're releasing the first half of the Twig Templating series:

Some bonus videos for this week are the remaining two series for the Using Drupal guide. These wrap up a total of 12 different series, for a total of 132 tutorials, that cover everything from the basics of using Drupal, to case studies on topics like Event Management, Managing Publishing Workflows, Multilingual, and Product Reviews. The new tutorials today cover using Drupal Commerce to build an online store and a short appendix series on choosing the right modules.

Next week we'll get the rest of the Twig series tutorials out there for you.
