Happy new year, members! We worked hard during the holidays on some important tech improvements. Here’s a quick overview:
Search Improvements
We continue to improve our site-wide search. We added filters, which finally makes faceted search a possibility! We made a variety of design improvements, and we added helpful tips for when a search yields 0 results.
API Improvements
On the backend, we made updates to our REST API. We added some basic HAL support and new endpoints for retrieving data. We also wrote documentation related to these updates.
Automated Test Improvements
Also on the backend, we updated our automated tests for site-wide search, including tests for our new search filters.

Next month, we’ll put some final touches on these search-related improvements. We’ll also update our footer menu and improve our library page, among other things!
