Announcing New Payment Options!
Blog postOne request we have consistently gotten from current subscribers and people on the fence alike is the ability to signup for 6 months or a full year at a time. Well we think that's just ridiculous. Come on! Only kidding, that's actually a very reasonable request that we've been hard at work on it for a little while now. It was a tricky thing to figure out since we wanted to let current subscribers also switch OFF of their monthly account option to another plan if they wished to. We didn't want our awesome Drupalized people having to cancel just to get the billing frequency they prefer!
New Free Community Videos
Blog postWe've added a new category to the site, called Community, and we've already added two new free videos to it, Applying a patch to a module and Creating a patch for a module. We got the idea for the new category from a question asked by Paul Johnson on Twitter, and set to work on getting some videos up about patching.
Site Improvements with Daisyjo
Blog postAnother Drupalize.Me release, another pony. Our Daisyjo release touched lots of little bits and pieces of the site. We implemented a number of changes that many of you have been asking for, as well as adding some things that would let you get to know us a little better.

CourseHappy New Year! The Module Development series is wrapping up by working our way through another major API in Drupal, the database layer. We have five videos to walk you through it.
- An overview of the database layer in Drupal 7 is an excerpt from our Overview of Drupal 7 roundtable discussion, led by Angie Byron, the Drupal 7 co-maintainer.
Release Day: More Module Development
Blog postFor this Wednesday, we're adding more videos to the Module Development for Drupal 7 series. We have three new videos for you:
- Altering forms with hook_form_alter introduces you to one of the most used hooks in Drupal development. It lets you change any form in Drupal and is a great tool in your kit.
It's that time of the week again! This week we are continuing two of our series: Module Development for Drupal 7 and Introduction to Drush.
For the Module Development series, we are wrapping up the discussion of the Render API with a look at integrating with the theme system. Then we move on to four videos about the Form API system and how to do some fun things with it:
We Get Around
We just finished our Do It With Drupal conference in Brooklyn, NY. If you missed the event, or were there and missed some of the sessions (there were so many good ones to see), we'll have videos of ALL the sessions on Drupalize.Me in a few weeks. You'll need to be a subscriber to access the videos, so if you're not already, sign up today.
Double Pony: What Does It Mean?
Blog postAs some of you may know, we here at Drupalize.Me name our code sprints after My Little Pony™ characters. There has been a lot going on the last few months and we didn't get a chance to update you on the work we've done in our last two sprints: Ripple and Tink-a-Tink-a-Too.

CourseViews Demystified
Blog postI love Views! I might be a little exuberant, but seriously, it is by far, in my humble opinion, the best contributed module. And I'm not the only one that feels that way! Check out the module usage stats on Drupal.org. As the most-downloaded contributed module, Views gets a lot of well-deserved attention. We've published a new series of videos, Intro to Views for Drupal 7, to walk you through this wonderful Drupal tool.
Recently we announced that we'd be rolling out series of shorter videos to make it easier to find and view the information you want. Now that we have the structure in place for shorter videos, we have gone a step further and broken our existing long videos into series as well. Aside from making it easier to navigate the videos and providing a smoother playback experience, this also gave us the opportunity to offer some of the chapters for FREE!
Today's release day is a mixture of free videos! We have two new videos to add to our Command Line Basics Series, covering Bash aliases and working with MySQL. In addition to those lessons, we are also releasing a short four-video series about Using the Ooyala module with Drupal. Ooyala is a paid video delivery service, which manages your videos and handles video delivery to your site.
This week we have our third series in the Using Drupal guide, Using Drupal Appendix A: Installing and Updating Drupal. We're skipping ahead to this particular appendix before diving into the case studies to make sure you're ready to go with the basics of getting a Drupal site installed and ready to go.
