This week, we are wrapping up 2012, and our Coding for Drush series. The last videos in this Drush series will take a look at some really neat things you can do with your new-found Drush skills. The first thing we want to look at is creating policy files for your Drush command. This allows you to essentially provide access control for your commands. You can check who is trying to run the command and stop it from proceeding. After we get that in place, we wrap up with two videos about Drush make. A make file provides a set of instructions for Drush to download a bunch of modules, themes, and even Drupal core itself, and place them in a specified directory — all with a single command. It's a quick and easy way to build a basic site over and over, in the same way.
Now that we've wrapped up 2012, we have some exciting new stuff in the hopper for 2013. Please take a few minutes to fill out our 2013 Product Survey, and you could win a free month of Drupalize.Me!
In the video pipeline, next week we will be starting off with some free videos to help you get the most out of the Drupal community resources that are out there. We're also working on some good stuff with SASS and Compass, Entity API, Zen theme, Git, and a whole slew of site-building recipes, including a review site, a multi-lingual site, newspaper editorial workflow, and lots more. Have a great New Year, and we'll see you on the flip side!

Hey. Any word from the 'pipeline' about how to install composer for drush in 2014? Just wondering!!!!!! Every time I listen to the theme song and wait 30 sec per video to get to real content, I regret paying for this site.
The installation portion of this series is a bit out of date. The series was originally recorded in 2012. It's on our to-do list to update the bit about installing to use the latest and greatest methods. In the meantime, you can read the documentation here which should get you going: https://github.com/drush-ops/drush
Just as an update we have a new installation tutorial for Installing Drush with Composer (https://drupalize.me/videos/installing-drush-composer). Check it out!
